Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Trauma/Med Surg, Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification Must-Have: Previous nursing experience in trauma or med surg and telemetry settings Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Must note if clinician has ever worked for the organization, if previously employed, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date. All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility. Scrubs required are navy blue. Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge. Utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Responsible for the planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions. Functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules in the state of practice and licensure. Recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for nurses as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct. Adheres to legal regulations and organizational policies when discussing patient health information. Coordinates and manages care for patients, including those with complex needs. Delivers written and oral communications that engage audience participants, respond to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Effectively delegates and supervises based on the state practice act and concepts of responsibility, authority, and accountability. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of their area. Offers effective feedback to patients and family members regarding health. Performs age-related patient assessments and nursing interventions. Responsible for promoting a safe environment for patients, families, staff, residents, and visitors. Works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for patients. May float to alike med surg and telemetry units within the facility. Nurse-patient ratios are typically 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights. Dress code is navy blue scrubs. Cancellation policy allows cancellation up to 12 hours every 13 weeks. Charting system used is EPIC.
