Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00pm-6:30am Shift: 3rd, this position is eligible for a shift differential Job Responsibilities Responsible for certifying and releasing drug test results Perform certification review of allinitialand confirmation data Accurately enter and report test results for all specimens Verification of all chain of custody documents, quality controls, and calibrations Provide technical, interpretive, and/or regulatory consultation andassistanceto clients Ensure theinitialtechnical review is complete andaccurate Perform GC/MS, LC/MS/MSand GC/FID certificationin accordance withSOPs Understand and follow quality procedures and protocols for security and confidentiality Review and follow chain of custody procedures with accuracy and consistency Identifyand resolve quality control issuesin a timely manner Assistin preparation of litigation packages andaffidavitswhen necessary Consult with laboratory technical staffregardingroutine testing issues and practices Prepare andparticipatein inspections and audits whenrequired Adhere to all regulatory and standard operating procedure requirements Maintain a safe work environment and wearappropriate personalprotective equipment Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemical or Biological Science OR Master’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology with 1 year or more of clinical testing OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology with 2 years or more of clinical testing experience Preferred Qualification Current or prior Labcorp experience 3 months or more of Certifying Scientist or Toxicology experience 6 months or more chromatography and/or mass spectrometry experience Additional Job Standards Certifying Scientist and Toxicology experience In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements Qualify as an NLCP Certifying Scientist in an appropriate time frame Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment Ability to work independently and within a team environment Excellent research and problem resolution skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a given time Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.Employees who are regularly scheduled toworka 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO, For more detailed information , click here.
