Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials throughout the facility. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols, and supporting daily warehouse production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Load and unload incoming/outgoing shipments from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers using powered industrial trucks (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, or order pickers).

• Inventory Control: Transport goods from storage racks to production areas, loading docks, or packing stations. Scan barcodes and update inventory management systems (WMS) to track material movements.

• Equipment Inspection: Perform daily pre-operational vehicle inspections (checking fluid levels, battery/fuel status, brakes, controls, and tire condition) and log maintenance issues promptly.

• Safety & Maintenance: Comply strictly with company safety rules and OSHA standards. Keep aisles, loading bays, and staging areas clear of debris and hazard-free.

• Order Fulfillment: Locate, retrieve, and stack products according to picking sheets or digital scanner instructions to ensure fast and accurate order fulfillment.

salary: $18 - $19.82 per hour
