Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.As a Welder I, you will fabricate, repair, and assemble aircraft engine and component parts using GTAW (TIG welding), torch brazing, and other specialized welding processes. You'll work from blueprints and engineering specifications to produce high-quality parts that meet strict aerospace standards for safety, precision, and performance.What you'll do:Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specificationsRead and interpret blueprints or welding process specificationsOperate brazing and soldering equipmentOperate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machinesParticipate in continuous improvement of processesCross train in other complementary skills to support production requirementsObserve all applicable safety requirementsBasic Qualifications:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredMinimum of 3 years of welding experienceCompletion of a welding apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on trainingAbility to read, understand and interpret blueprints and welding process specificationsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance for approximately 25% of the workday, with or without reasonable accommodationDesired Skills:Experience welding thin-gauge materials and exotic metals, including Inconel and HastelloyKnowledge of tool design, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processesExperience working with OEM manuals, welding procedures, rework instructions, and SDS/MSDS requirementsExperience using production management systems and other manufacturing control systemsTrade certification and/or applicable welding certificationsStrong attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsBenefits that make life better:Comprehensive Healthcare401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning & Training opportunitiesRaising the Standard of Excellence Since 1911With more than a century of proven excellence, StandardAero is a global leader in aerospace MRO services and customized solutions.
