About This Role

Our school is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our students, staff, and families. This role requires daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas, as well as ensuring that supplies are stocked and facilities are well-maintained. As a key member of our school team, the Janitor will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of our community by following proper cleaning procedures and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to attention to detail.

• Empty and clean trash cans and recycling bins throughout the facility.
• Disinfect toys, furniture, and frequently touched surfaces to maintain a healthy environment.
• Clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas daily.
• Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies in restrooms and classrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and carpets.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up for school events or activities.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors as needed.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures in compliance with childcare licensing standards.
• Report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance needs to the school administration.
• Support staff by maintaining an orderly and welcoming school environment.

• valid driver license
• eligible to work in the U.S
• minimum high school diploma

• Bilingual or multilingual skills
• Prior experience working in a school or childcare setting
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, or other health and safety training
• Familiarity with cleaning and maintenance procedures in a commercial or educational setting
