Senior Software Engineer

Senior Full Stack Java Developer Client: MasterCard Location: New York City (This position is remote to start with but the client expects candidates to be local or must be able to relocate in 60 days. Relocation is absolute must if the candidate is not local!) Duration: 24 months Absolute MUST haves for this role: Full Stack Java developer with Spring Boot Cloud native architecture, microservices, PCF (PCF is preferred and open to candidates with AWS or Azure experience) CI/CD Jenkins integration and automation. (This includes configuring and deploying pipelines) The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in creating new products and new functionality for both backend and consumer facing features. Deliver solutions by providing direct development of software Work closely with technical leads for assigned projects to assist in design and implementation tasks, contributing to the planning and development of software solutions Assist with production support issues by acting as a subject matter expert in resolving incidents and problem tickets Possess the aptitude to quickly learn and contribute to our complex platform Provide technical expertise to ensure effective delivery of software capabilities Perform code reviews of co-workers deliverables to ensure best practices Provide technical guidance to junior team members All About You Essential Knowledge/Experience Advanced in Java development, design patterns, threading, unit testing, debugging Mid-level experience employing agile development strategies and ceremonies and test driven development Developing Java Spring based Cloud application. Knowledge in JAVA, Spring Boot, Micro services, PCF, Hibernate, Oracle, Restful, JSON, JAXRS, Splunk, Agile, Sonar, Linux, Git. Database experience including Oracle and advanced SQL scripting. Soft skills: strong verbal and written communication to demo features to product owners; proactive and has initiative to take development work from inception to implementation. Samprasoft
