Performs skilled nursing care in the operating room environment, supporting surgical teams throughout procedures. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all clinical standards during surgical interventions. Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery by verifying identities, explaining procedures, and ensuring all preoperative protocols are followed.
- Assist surgical teams with positioning patients and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout the procedure, responding promptly to any changes.
- Document all nursing actions, patient responses, and procedural details accurately.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical staff, and other healthcare professionals to maintain optimal patient care.
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies.
- Hold an active RN license in good standing.
- Demonstrate clinical experience in an operating room setting.
- Possess strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
- Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Maintain current CPR and ACLS certifications.
- Be able to withstand the physical demands of the operating room environment.
