Respiratory Therapist

What You' ll Do As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess patient needs, provide respiratory treatments, monitor patient progress, and work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include: Administer nebulizer and metered-dose inhaler medications Provide oxygen, humidity, aerosol, and medical gas therapy Perform pulse oximetry, incentive spirometry, respiratory mechanics, and PEP therapy Provide chest physiotherapy and suctioning Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation Monitor ventilator settings and patient response Assist with intubation, extubating, and bronchoscopy procedures Respond to Code Blue and rapid-response situations Verify physician orders and accurately document patient care Transport and monitor respiratory patients as needed Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team Participate in patient-care initiatives, quality improvement, and mentoring of new team members Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program Licensure & Certification: Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, Provisional License, or temporary letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board CRT or RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) BLS certification within two months of hire Experience: 0– 6 months of related experience New graduates who meet licensing and credential requirements are encouraged to apply What We' re Looking For Strong patient care and communication skills Ability to work effectively in both critical and non-critical care environments Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced hospital environment Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving skills Comfortable using basic computer systems for documentation and data entry Team-oriented and committed to providing excellent patient care If you' re ready to begin or continue your career as a Respiratory Therapist with a respected healthcare team, apply today!
