Senior Accountant

Tarvos Talent is partnering with a growing and well-established organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting functions, work closely with leadership, and contribute to process improvements within a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to take on increasing responsibility while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and operational accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting and management reporting requirements.
• Assist with annual audits and coordinate requests from external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Experience with process improvements, reporting tools, or financial analysis.
