Research Associate

We are looking for an In Vivo Research Associate enthusiastic about developing new therapeutics on the interface of regenerative medicine and brain-computer interfaces. Candidates can look forward to scaling a focused research program in collaboration with a world-class team of scientists and engineers with diverse technical backgrounds. Ideal candidates will have experience performing in vivo behavioral neurophysiology experiments in large animal models including training, data collection, and analysis. Candidates with experience working in the striatal system, performing high-bandwidth neural recordings, and/or closed-loop neural control experiments are ideal. Role Responsibilities: Perform daily behavioral training and neurophysiological recording sessions. Develop experimental infrastructure to test efficacy of therapeutic BCIs Key Qualifications: MS or PhD in experimental neuroscience Experience in training and working with large animals A track record of excellence and creativity in your field as demonstrated by publications, patents, success with commercialization or translation, or other notable achievements Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing hardware and software Experience using Python for data analysis Thrives when working collaboratively and tackling difficult technical challenges Commitment to a respectful and supportive work environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience collecting and working with large scale neural data Experience in collecting video data, (e.g. eye movements or kinematics Experience in motor control or cognition For individuals hired to work in California, Science Corporation is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 – $150,000 + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of the offer is not included in these numbers.
