Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description Job Summary: Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a Medical-Surgical unit. The RN will support multiple med/surg units, including vent, ortho, and general cases, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities:

- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses such as vents, orthopedics, and general med/surg conditions.
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and document clinical observations accurately in EPIC.
- Collaborate with team members, including PCA techs, to ensure efficient unit operations.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and medical emergencies, adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing staff training.
- Adhere to dress code policies, including navy blue scrubs, and maintain professional appearance.
- Hold a valid NY nursing license.
- Possess at least 2 years of recent med/surg nursing experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems.
- Obtain current BLS and COVID vaccination certifications.
- Capable of working 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday commitments.
- Flexibility to float within med/surg units as needed.
