Responsibilities

• Represent clients involved in various transportation related incidents including auto accidents tractor/trailer collisions bus accidents crane mishaps dump truck incidents fatalities and motor vehicle accidents (MVA)
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel and defense strategies to individuals businesses and insurance companies operating within the transportation/trucking industry
• Conduct thorough investigations into accidents analyze evidence asses liability and develop defense strategies tailored to each cases unique circumstances
• Represent clients in negotiations mediation and court proceedings
• Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis on various issues related to transportation and personal injury law
• Draft pleadings motions and discovery requests
• Prepare for and attend depositions hearings and trials
• Communicate with clients opposing counsel and court personnel
• Participate in case strategy discussions and negotiations
• Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized records
• Attend continuing legal education courses to stay current on legal developments

Experience

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate litigation/insurance defense
• Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to travel when necessary
