River Point Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is an 84-bed treatment facility, conveniently located in beautiful central Jacksonville, FL that specializes in the successful treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues for youth, adults and seniors. We are pleased to announce the following available position: FT ADMISSIONS FINANCIAL COUNSELOR

This position assists in the Admission process of new patients into the hospital. Ensures all admissions paperwork is properly completed, and registered correctly in the appropriate systems. This positions uses various tools to determine and verify current and potential patient's insurance coverage and benefits, or other funding sources. Secures payment arrangements with patients and/or their guardian. Uses hospital resources and external recourses to determine ability to pay. Uses excel or other office systems in order for tracking and reporting of all required data. Assists Business Office Manager with special projects as needed. Qualifications: Employee must have at least a High School Diploma with basic knowledge of book keeping or accounting and prefers at least 2-year administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Must be proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Excel or any combination of education, training or experience in a business office environment.
