Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary As our Radiology Tech at CHI St Vincent, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations such as x-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, to name a few. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Responsibilities Interpret clinical information from the clinical team to determine radiology needs of patients Perform thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning as per the order Monitor radiation exposure time and activity with hyper-sensitivity Apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself routinely Use mechanical aptitude and confidence to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures Qualifications Registry eligible or Registered Radiographic Technologist certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), upon hire or required to pass the ARRT radiography certification within one (1) year of hire date, 12 months Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT within 12 months and Medical Radiographer: AR upon hire Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 days Location CHI St. Vincent, Arkansas Pay Range $30.50 - $30.50 /hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
