RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed CVICU with patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for certain device patients
• Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS
• Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations on unit
• Work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps
• Document using Meditech system
• Schedule requirements include 2 weekends per month, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), and 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float as needed to other ICUs and other floors
• Required skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
• Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Strong critical care experience including CVICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Dress code: scrubs in black, red, or galaxy blue with scrub jackets/vests only
• Unit support includes free floating charge nurse, unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM, and Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts

The facility features a 16-bed CVICU that has received the HCA Unit of Distinction Award and Daisy Award recognition. The unit has an intensivist assigned 24/7 and maintains a strong driven team of nurses with excellent teamwork, focusing on post-operative cardiac surgery care and advanced cardiac devices.
