Space Systems Analyst

DescriptionSAIC is seeking an Space Systems Analyst with technical expertise in government satellite systems to support the Mission Analysis team within the Advanced Plans branch of the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph. SE&I provides technical and programmatic support to define technical spacecraft and ground systems requirements, define a coherent acquisition strategy, and initiate major contracts with industry partners. The position requires that a successful candidate demonstrate a technical understanding of clock and timing algorithms and methods, geolocation algorithm development and analysis, oscillators, and a working knowledge of RF systems.The following tasks are representative of those that will be accomplished at the request of the customer:Assess timing and phase noise requirements and performance associated with SIGINT data deliveryProvide support to launch and satellite on-orbit test as required by the customerPlan and execute internal and external interface testing to support final system verification, validation, and deliveryDevelop productive relationships with prime contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other payload and ground system subject matter expertsSupport the customer in the oversight of the development and documentation of the specifications associated with his or her assigned areaReview complex technical design documentation and provide formal and informal feedback to the COTR, subject matter experts, and other customer personnelParticipate in requirement sell off events to ensure program successLiaise with mission analysis and acquisition teams to ensure completeness across the acquisitionQualificationsRequired Education: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; or a Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; or a PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experienceRequired Experience:Knowledge of SIGINT mission fundamentalsTechnical understanding of SIGINT architectures and Intelligence Community (IC) ground architecturesUnderstanding of DOD/IC satellite systems and architecturesExperience with DOD/IC acquisition and program management processesExperience with MATLAB or equivalent DSP development and analysis toolsAvailable to travel domesticallyDesired Experience:Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentClearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance with a Poly.
