Law Enforcement Officer
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement is seeking a law enforcement officer. This position involves law enforcement activities as specified in Section 570.65, Florida Statutes. Duties include criminal violations involving domesticated animals, livestock, poultry, aquaculture products, farms and farm equipment, and more. The officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with various laws and regulations, preparing reports, and testifying in court. The position requires knowledge of law enforcement and investigative principles, skills in writing reports and coordinating activities, and the ability to operate assigned equipment. Additional requirements include occasional travel, a valid driver license, and a good moral character. The salary for this position is $60,000.20.
