Job Title: Registered Nurse – ICU

Job Description:

Holland Hospital is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in an Intensive Care Unit setting. The RN will assess patient needs, coordinate care, administer treatments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Position Details:

• Location: Holland, MI

• Job Type: Contract

• Pay: $2240 / 36

• Start Date: ASAP

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts

• Days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients with high-acuity conditions.

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress.

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and ongoing care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.

Unit & Float Responsibilities:

This position is part of a float team and may provide coverage across:

• ICU/Telemetry

• Spine Orthopedics

• Medical-Surgical units

The assigned unit may vary based on hospital needs. Nurses are notified approximately 2 hours before their shift regarding their assigned unit while maintaining 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

• Current Michigan RN license or ability to obtain it by the end of orientation.

• Current BLS certification.

• Cerner experience required.

• Recent ICU/critical care experience.

• ACLS certification required for ICU/Telemetry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of RN experience in the relevant specialty.

• Recent hospital experience.

• Previous experience with electronic patient documentation systems.

• CCRN or other specialty certification preferred.

About the Hospital:

Holland Hospital provides care to patients across a range of medical conditions and maintains an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit and 22-bed Telemetry Unit. The ICU/Telemetry team cares for patients with high-acuity diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, and heart failure.
