• Schedule: Monday - Wednesday
• Shift: 12-hour days (06:00 - 18:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,100 - $1,160

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or compact/multi-state RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience; rehabilitation nursing or inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proven communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary rehab teams (PT/OT/Speech)
• Ability to safely work 12-hour day shifts and manage a rehab patient caseload
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate clinical documentation

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation unit (rehab nursing, physical medicine)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized rehabilitation care plans and goals
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and case managers to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Monitor patient progress, manage changes in condition, and escalate concerns per facility protocols
• Perform medication administration, wound care, mobility assistance, and other skilled nursing tasks appropriate to rehabilitation patients
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation processes, home exercise programs, safety, and self-care strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR and follow quality and safety standards
• Promote a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment for all patients
