Strategy includes logistical concepts as well as risk mitigation approaches for all key components. Focus on the understanding of technical problems and scouting of solutions and propose them throughout the different development stages, transferring the know‑how from our supply chain partners as well as screening of new market innovations to be applied on our current or future products and services. Support larger life‑cycle projects or product transfers after the market introduction phase. Perform market studies and benchmarks to drive make‑or‑buy decisions according to total‑cost principles, coordinated with all relevant stakeholders, considering the existing supplier base, category strategy, own production strategy, and new potential suppliers. Validate suppliers and negotiate contracts (engineering, confidentiality, development, framework, and quality agreements). Provide consulting on design aspects such as design‑to‑cost, design‑to‑manufacturing, and design‑to‑logistics. Audit suppliers and subsequently develop suppliers to reach the defined quality level, responsible for the fulfillment of first‑article inspection. Ensure compliance with required worldwide norms such as food‑contact material, electrical norms, etc. Drive standardization and reduction of complexity. Exchange with other procurement departments and lead buyers to share knowledge and adopt existing solutions. Track costs throughout the phases of the M2M development process. Ensure risk mitigation with an appropriate second‑source strategy. Coordinate development partnerships with suppliers and internal departments. Maintain master data (audit reports, certificates, price lists) in the corresponding systems prior to product introduction. Qualifications Basic technical education or career. Degree in mechanical and/or electrical/software engineering from a university or university of applied sciences. Professional experience in industrial supply chains. Ability to solve problems in a structured way. Technical affinity. Understanding of holistic correlations within the company and business management interrelationship. Negotiation skills and knowledge of contracts and laws. Experience in execution of development projects. English language skills at C1 level, and possibly other languages. Proven IT skills (Office, Web applications, Internet, SAP, CAD, PDM). Analytical skills and negotiation skills. Problem structuring and problem‑solving skills. Cross‑business‑unit thinking and acting. Presentation skills with positive charisma. Orientation toward the corporate supply chain strategy to secure competitive advantages for the company and the customer. Capability for cost tracking along the M2M process. Self‑driven and used to making decisions, ability to work in a team and handle conflict. Ability as a consultant for the project team throughout the project stages. Customer‑orientated mindset, strong and focused implementation skills. Above‑average personal commitment. Integrity, assertiveness, and creativity. Proven ability to convince and motivate. Intercultural management. Good written and oral expression in English; German is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Bühler Gruppe
