Senior Salesforce Developer

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Salesforce Product Manager to align the platform with business objectives and architect scalable solutions.
• Design, customize, configure, and maintain Salesforce Government Cloud Plus solutions, preferably including Sales Cloud.
• Support CRM Analytics by creating dashboards and data recipes.
• Build Salesforce automations using Process Builder, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, Email, and Slack alerts.
• Develop Apex code, triggers, scheduled classes, and batch classes when low-code or no-code solutions are insufficient.
• Build integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP, OAuth, and SSO.
• Collaborate with internal integration teams when Salesforce consumes or sends data to other platforms such as ERP systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, and customizations.
• Migrate changes from development and testing environments to production and perform smoke testing.
• Provide end-user support and promote user self-sufficiency and adoption.
• Perform data updates and migrations using Data Loader and interface with Salesforce data backup and recovery tools.
• Maintain coding standards, documentation, scalability, and readability while participating in Salesforce release readiness activities.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of total IT experience, including at least 5 years of Salesforce platform development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience, preferably with Sales Cloud; Government Cloud experience is preferred.
• Experience with CRM Analytics, formerly Tableau CRM and Einstein Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Apex, triggers, scheduled and batch classes, Process Builder, Formulas, Flow, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, and Assignment Rules.
• Development experience with Bootstrap, Lightning Design System, Lightning Components, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience integrating systems through REST, SOAP APIs, OAuth, and SSO.
• Experience creating standard and custom Salesforce objects and relationships.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and DevOps tools such as JIRA and GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
• Ability to assess the impact of requirements on Salesforce and upstream and downstream applications, flows, and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is strongly preferred, with Platform Developer II certification considered a plus.
• Aerospace and defense industry experience is a major plus.
• NetSuite integration and solution architecture experience are advantageous.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
