Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: College Station, TX Job Id: 6531 # of Openings: 1 As part of the Water Design Center for Garver in College Station, TX, this Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing mechanical designs in support of various Water Business Line projects.General responsibilities will include mechanical design (HVAC, water supply systems, drain systems, etc.) as required for a variety of water and wastewater projects around the region.Specifically, this responsibility will include a variety of projects related to investigating, planning, design, and commissioning of mechanical systems.Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Developing detailed heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system designs for water and wastewater treatment facilitiesDeveloping and analyzing virtual facility heat loads to determine HVAC system sizing.Working closely with other team members to coordinate the project requirementsDeveloping detailed plans and specifications for mechanical systems, such as HVAC systems, potable and non-potable water systems, drain systems, and fire protection systemsCoordinating with various mechanical equipment vendorsDeveloping construction cost estimates and participating in quality assurance and control proceduresSome travel may be required, as projects may require field work for site assessment of project locations and support during construction. Due to the collaborative nature of coordination for large infrastructure projects, candidates must have the ability to seek out and resolve issues through close interaction with other project team members. In addition, the candidate shall be able to maintain a positive team attitude and interpersonal effectiveness to recruit, develop and maintain an efficient and productive team.
