Perianesthesia Nurse - PRN (8 hour shifts) The Surgery Center of Fairbanks We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented RN to join our dynamic perianesthesia team on a PRN basis. Flexible shifts available Monday-Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. - with no nights, weekends, or call required! Collaborative and supportive team Cutting-edge technology and patient care Career growth opportunities Key Responsibilities Pre-Op: Perform patient assessments and pre-op education Obtain and review consents and test results Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery Maintain chart completeness and communicate findings with the care team Post-Op/Recovery: Deliver individualized care in the immediate post-op period Monitor patient status and respond to complications Provide discharge education and follow-up care instructions Ensure documentation and coordination with the clinical team Qualifications: Active RN license in Alaska (or ability to obtain) BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred Perianesthesia or PACU experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate Join us and do work that matters - improving lives every day in Alaska. #J-18808-Ljbffr
