Mobile CT Scan Radiology Technologist - Lung Van

Overview Barnes‑Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation’s top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. It is staffed by full‑time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine and is the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Position Details Day Shift: Monday‑Friday (4, 10‑hour shifts per week), start around 6:30 a.m. with some flexibility. Full‑Time (40 hours per week). Local travel: travel with a provided driver to outreach sites in surrounding Missouri (2‑4 hour drives to scan patients’ lungs). 5 % differential on top of base rate for CT certification. Relocation bonus eligibility. Schedule Start: On‑road/mobile scanning 2‑3 days per week; remaining days scanning outpatients at Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM). Path to full mobile operation: transition to the Lung Van for 4 days per week of travel. This role will evolve into 4 days per week of mobile Lung Van travel. Qualifications Must be able to work independently & troubleshoot CT equipment on the Lung Van. CT experience preferred (≥ 1 year). CT certification highly preferred. Associate’s Degree or trade school equivalency (or higher). Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R) and/or CT. Excellent patient communication and bedside manner for diverse rural populations. Comfortable with travel and mobile imaging logistics. Responsibilities Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Performs studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
