Construction Project Manager

Are you a Residential Construction Project Manager or Production Manager who thrives on bringing order to complexity—and wants to play a key role in scaling a growing company? Highland Build is a tight-knit, fast-growing residential construction company in the San Francisco area. We deliver high-quality projects and build long-term relationships with clients, vendors, designers, and architects. We’re looking for a long-term production manager to own, manage and continuously improve our processes, including AI. As Production Manager, you’ll lead all aspects of production and offer deep support to our three lead/site supervisors. This is a high-impact leadership role. We need you to provide high-level strategic thinking alongside the smallest details - whatever is needed in the moment. What You’ll Be Doing Weekly 1:1 meetings with members of the team Weekly meetings with clients Visit job sites Manage and coach project leads Own successful outcomes for 3-6 active residential projects at a time Own and ensure accurate project schedules Own and ensure accurate invoicing and change orders weekly and on time Identify and implement process improvements across production What We’re Looking For Highland Build needs someone with 3+ years of experience in the following: Providing ‘white glove service to clients, team members, architects, designers, and vendors Experience in residential construction project management; Design‑Build experience is strongly preferred Management of multiple projects simultaneously Experience with JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, or similar Who You Are You’ll be a great fit for this role if you… Have developed and used processes and systems Thrive in a fast‑moving environment Are a good communicator and can clearly explain how you do things Are open to leveraging technology and new tools (including AI) to improve efficiency and processes Like structure—but aren’t rigid Seek out problems because you enjoy solving them Can pivot easily as priorities shift Have a successful history of helping others perform at their highest level What to Expect Hybrid role (mix of job site visits, remote work, and occasional office time) Flexible schedule (typical hours around 8:00–4:30, but adaptable) Local travel to job sites (~30–40 minute radius) What We Offer $130,000 - $160,000 base salary + performance-based bonus Phone reimbursement & vehicle allowance Highland Build provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
