Cardiothoracic Surgery Registered Nurse Background in cardiothoracic surgery providing support for high-acuity cases, including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular operations; scrubbing experience is advantageous but not required Competence in general operating room duties, including circulating across multiple core service lines Required experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system Active and unrestricted RN license valid in Virginia or a compact state Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications On-Call Requirements Four weekday on-call shifts (Monday through Friday) from the end of the shift until 7 a.m. Four weekend on-call shifts per month covering both day (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and night (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) shifts on Saturdays and Sundays Unit Overview This facility is a multi-service Level-II Trauma Center equipped with 15 operating rooms, including one hybrid OR.
