Job description:
Role: Mammography Technologist
# of shifts per week: 5X8
Shift Start and End Time: 8am-5pm / M-F
Weekends/On call/Holidays: N/A
Anticipated length of assignment: 13
Dress Code: Scrubs with closed toe shoes
Education : High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a program in Radiology Technology
Certification :
- BLS
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- American Registry of Radiology Technologist Mammography Certification (AART)(M)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
- California Mammogram Certificate
- California State Fluoroscopy Permit
Experience : Prior work experience as a Mammography Technologist
Number of years of experience: 2
Preferred skills: Must have 8 HRS training on tomosynthesis
Summary of Major Function:
Must have 8 HRS training on tomosynthesis
Tech must also present with current number of mammos done and CEU’s.
Under general direction of the Mammography Coordinator perform Mammography Procedures at a skilled technical level requiring the ability to apply ionizing radiation for Mammography diagnosis.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school of radio logic technology.
- Current CRT and ARRT (M)
- Familiarity with current MQSA Standards
- 15 CEU done within 36 months
- 8 hours training in tomosynthesis
- Recent mammography work experience
- 8 hours of training in digital mammography preferred.
- Attestation letter showing the completion of 25 supervised mammography exams or previous continued experience that equals to 200 exams within 24 months.
- 3D Tomosynthesis experience preferred.
