Pediatric Dentist / Pediatric Dentistry-FQHC facility in the state of Washington

A part-time or full-time Pediatric Dentist opportunity is available in Central Washington, supporting infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of dental needs.

This role offers a clinically varied pediatric practice with responsibility for preventive, restorative, surgical, and emergency dental care. The position also includes treatment of children with complex medical conditions, developmental delays, behavioral challenges, and special healthcare needs.

The practice includes opportunities to provide comprehensive dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia in a hospital operating room, collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care in accordance with accepted professional standards.
• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and developmental conditions affecting the teeth, gums, and supporting structures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans using clinical examinations and radiographic findings.
• Perform composite, glass ionomer, and amalgam restorations.
• Provide fixed pediatric prosthetic treatment, including stainless steel crowns and space maintainers.
• Perform simple and surgical dental extractions and manage moderate to severe dental infections.
• Diagnose and manage pulpal, periodontal, and related oral health conditions within the scope of training.
• Provide comprehensive dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia in a hospital operating room.
• Evaluate tooth and jaw development, monitor growth, and provide or adjust dental appliances when indicated.
• Provide patient and family dental education and collaborate with interpreters and interdisciplinary care teams as needed.
• Participate in chart audits, quality assurance, and other quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide clinical supervision, training, and support to dental staff, assistants, students, or residents as assigned.
• Assist with dental equipment evaluation and purchasing decisions as needed.
• Travel to various clinic sites as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of a CODA-approved pediatric dental residency .
• Current license to practice dentistry in Washington State .
• DEA license required.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/BLS certification , or ability to obtain within the designated timeframe.
• PALS certification , or ability to obtain within the designated timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications
