This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

As a Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating patient care, ensuring the highest standards of medical treatment and patient satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medical services, support patient recovery, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients with a focus on internal medicine
• Perform daily rounds and assess patient progress
• Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Participate in hospital quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention
• Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
• Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in internal medicine

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in New York
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred

Schedule: 7 on/7off

Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a

No call requirement

Daily Volume: ~20 patients

Some procedures and vent management in the step-down unit are preferred

Will round with residents and medical students

Full subspecialty support

Must be board-certified
