Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and exercises following the PT plan of care
- Monitor and document patient progress, celebrating every milestone
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
- Communicate patient status clearly with the supervising PT
- Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by following infection control and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active state PTA license (or the ability to obtain one)
- Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy interventions and treatment techniques
- Patient education and home exercise programs
- Accurate documentation and progress tracking
- Infection control and safety standards
- Collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
