Better Hospitality Group, Inc. is currently looking to hire a Shift Leader who is ABRA-certified to work in our various Venues. We are looking for enthusiastic Shift Leaders who want to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. - Maintain an ABRA certification
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Conflict and issue resolution for guests
- Opening and closing the Venue, including sending out reports
- Monitor staffing needs and adjust accordingly
- Conducting preshift
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
Compensation: We pay our tipped hourly Team Members $10.30 per hour plus tips, in accordance with District of Columbia law. With tips, our team members typically earn between $30 and $50 per hour, before shift differential, and we expect those earnings to continue to grow as we build and retain a strong team.
