Better Hospitality Group, Inc. is currently looking to hire a Shift Leader who is ABRA-certified to work in our various Venues. We are looking for enthusiastic Shift Leaders who want to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Come join our Team and be a part of one of the fastest-growing Hospitality Groups in DC! 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an ABRA certification
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Conflict and issue resolution for guests 
  • Opening and closing the Venue, including sending out reports
  • Monitor staffing needs and adjust accordingly
  • Conducting preshift 

Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean

Compensation: We pay our tipped hourly Team Members $10.30 per hour plus tips, in accordance with District of Columbia law. With tips, our team members typically earn between $30 and $50 per hour, before shift differential, and we expect those earnings to continue to grow as we build and retain a strong team.
