Our organization , situated in Poughkeepsie, New York, just a short 75-minute drive from New York City, is looking to add a Medical Oncologist to our expanding team. Preference will be given to candidates with training or experience in gastrointestinal or genitourinary oncology. We emphasize a multidisciplinary and integrated approach to care, focusing on disease site-specific strategies. In partnership with Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, we are forming a cohesive team of medical oncologists and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive and integrated care.

A sign-on bonus of $50,000, along with a retention package and relocation assistance, is available for full-time candidates.

Our organization offers tertiary oncology services through our hospital systems and multi-specialty practice, accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. We are experiencing rapid growth, currently managing around 1,800 analytic cancer cases annually. Our facility is equipped with essential components of a comprehensive oncology service line, including advanced radiation oncology and surgical specialties in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary oncology, and Hepatobiliary Surgery. All our nursing staff are oncology certified, and we provide genetic counseling and screening on-site. There are numerous opportunities for involvement in research and clinical trials.

At the Nuvance Health Cancer Institute, our multidisciplinary Tumor Boards convene a diverse group of specialists to collaboratively assess complex patient cases, creating personalized, evidence-based treatment plans. Our extensive clinical trials program offers patients early access to cutting-edge therapies. This initiative is further enhanced by the Rudy L. Ruggles Biomedical Research Institute, which conducts translational cancer research, facilitating the transfer of laboratory breakthroughs directly to patient care to enhance outcomes and promote community health.

Located along the picturesque Hudson River, our facility features a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-story inpatient pavilion with 263 private medical/surgical rooms and 30 critical care units. We provide top-tier acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Services and Interventional Neuroradiology. Our organization has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women's health, consistently ranking among the leading cardiac programs in the United States and recognized as one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.

Compensation: $400,000 to $600,000 per year, depending on experience and position.
