UMass Memorial Medical Center is a level I trauma center and tertiary care referral center serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region.**About the role:*** The physician will serve as an attending on infectious disease inpatient and outpatient services including the most inpatient service as attending on Transplant ID Service.* An interest or experience in transplant infectious diseases, transplants for HIV infected patients, hepatitis C and Infection Prevention for transplant recipients is ideal.* Appointment as Medical Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases is possible for applicants with strong administrative skills and experience on Transplant Infectious Diseases since fellowship.* Our solid organ transplant program is multidisciplinary and transplants over 65 livers/year and100 kidneys/year. We have an active bone marrow transplant program and growing cardiac ventricular assist device program.* Our HIV program is a grantee of Ryan White Part C and state contracts for HIV and Hep C care.* Teaching is integrated into our practice and an academic appointment is available commensurate with experience.
