Description

Purpose of the Role

This role is crucial for ensuring quality standards in manufacturing and production projects by contributing to continuous improvement and starting in compliance with safety protocols and standardized processes to ensure workplace safety and product reliability.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Everyday handling of structural material (steel beams, channel, square tubing, etc.)
• Proficient in MIG Welding
• Reads and comprehends construction drawings and specifications.
• Marks up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
• Sand Blast & Paint Structural Steel material
• Install G-Rib Metal & Trim
• Install Snaplock Metal & Trim
• Operate crane, scissor lift, and forklift (will provide training)
• Capable to use everyday construction tools (tape measure, square, level, etc.)
• Works in conjunction with other crews and lead people.
• Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the group.
• Performs all duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Competencies

• Education : N/A
• Experience : Prior fabrication work is preferred but not required.
• Skills :
  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
  • Must be able to obtain welding Certification provided by Company.
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status.
  • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety.
  • Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
  • Proficient carpentry skills.
