CNC programmers

CNC programmers – NORTH AMERICA, INDIANAPOLIS, IN We are looking for experienced CNC Programmers for 1st and 2nd shifts. Custom machining programs include tight tolerances and complex aerospace hardware, with hardened materials such as Titanium, Inconel, 300 series Stainless Steel. While applying your knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machine capabilities, most programs will be non-production and will be programmed for the first time and made only once. This position will be responsible for taking a concept or drawing and programming/setting up and operating CNC machining centers for prototype parts. Shift Options

1. st Shift: Monday through Friday starting at 7am
2. nd Shift: Monday through Friday starting at 4pm, shift premium differential is available for this shift.

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Write programs within Mastercam or NX with regards to efficiency, quality, and customer deadlines. Assist CNC Machinists with machines to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut in accordance with material specifications and tooling guidelines. Assist CNC Machinists that all machined details meet print and router specifications, using precision measuring instruments and recording data results. Responsible to ensure first piece inspection is completed and acceptable prior to moving on. Research and select all required tooling needed to complete manufacturing of part. Evaluate lessons learned and apply continual improvement Participate and complete overtime to meet customer deadlines, as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management. Qualifications and Experience Prior experience with high temp alloys including Hast-X, Inconel, 303/304 stainless, 17-4, etc. Minimum 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing job shop environment Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred Familiarity with the capabilities/limitations of all conventional/CNC machines and welding equipment Prior experience with G & M code programming in Mastercam or NX Ideal Candidates Be able to work well with meeting deadlines Have a good work ethic and attendance Communicates well with all personnel Strong mechanical aptitude to develop creative solutions that are efficient solutions to complex problems Will have the opportunity to develop skills through in-house training, at other Aerodyn facilities globally, and through recognized training sources for continuous development Aerodyn is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Aerodyn Engineering, Inc.
