Part-time - Kitchen Aide, 4 hours/day

Location: Ryan Middle School. Job Summary The duties performed by a kitchen aide are broad and flexible. Assists the kitchen manager to ensure that a quality, nutritious, cost effective meal program is available daily to students and staff. Compensation New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: Grade 3: $17.59 - $19.59 DOE. Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement. Work Hours and Schedule Work Hours: Start times vary depending on individual school sites, but most positions work between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Work Year: 9 months. Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA). Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Mathematical skills including basic calculations. Basic knowledge of computer and keyboarding skills to include Microsoft Office and Google Suite products, as well as basic troubleshooting. Ability to work with detailed information/data and maintain strict confidentiality of written and oral information and records. Per DEC regulations, must have or be able to pass Food Handlers course 30 days after hire and maintain the card.
