RN - House Supervisor

Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while adhering to safety protocols and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit, providing direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status for continuity of care and safety, consulting with senior nursing staff as needed.
• Provide direction and training to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring duties are delegated effectively.
• Promote and ensure a safe work environment by following hospital policies/procedures.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and supplies to effectively complete assigned duties.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (for CIRH only).
• A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
• ICU experience and appropriate skills for Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH) are required.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift of 3x12-hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
