Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Informatica IDMC Data Lineage Specialist to support our enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives.

This role will focus on implementing, managing, and optimizing data lineage capabilities using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and related tools to ensure data transparency, compliance, and trust across the organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing and configuring Informatica IDMC data lineage capabilities, including metadata scanning, parsing, linking, and visualization.
• Building and maintaining end-to-end data lineage maps for critical data assets across multiple systems (e.g., databases, ETL, cloud, BI tools).
• Collaborating with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Business Teams to identify and onboard key metadata sources into Informatica IDMC.
• Ensuring data lineage accuracy and quality by validating lineage paths, resolving lineage gaps, and documenting transformation logic.
• Automating metadata ingestion from source systems like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, Tableau, etc.
• Developing custom metadata parsers and lineage connectors if needed, using APIs or Informatica-provided SDKs.
• Supporting data governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and impact analysis through accurate lineage mapping.
• Participating in the design and maintenance of metadata management workflows, policies, and lineage standards.
• Training and supporting users on how to access and interpret lineage through the Informatica Data Catalog UI.
