JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Respiratory Therapy

Shift Timings: 18:00-06:30 Monday to Friday (3 Days/12 Hours)

Per Week: 36 Hours

EOW to every 3rd; EOH; current critical care experience required or has worked in critical care within the last 12 months, ability to manage a heavy workload; may need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Registered Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Respiratory Therapist program
• Active unencumbered Wisconsin RN state license
• One year of Cerner FirstNet experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
