The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide direct patient care within a single unit clinical setting. Reporting to the Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN is responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring excellent patient outcomes through careful documentation and communication. The role follows day shifts and requires collaboration with healthcare team members to deliver effective nursing services focused on patient well-being.

 

13 Week Contract with option to extend

Shift: 8 am - 5 pm

Outpatient clinic or urgent care experience

Bilingual in Spanish & English

 

Proficient in taking care of patients in a primary care or family medicine clinic, will consider specialty clinic experience, pediatric experience strongly recommended
Proficiency in dispensing medications and providing care within the LVN scope of practice

 

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support under RN supervision
• Administer medications accurately and safely
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs regularly
• Perform wound care and maintain infection control standards
• Document patient information and medical records precisely
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Educate patients on care plans and health maintenance
• Assist RNs with clinical tasks and procedures
• Operate medical equipment appropriately
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 year experience in licensed vocational nursing
• Vocational Nursing Diploma or Certificate
• Valid LVN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficient in patient care, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
• Skilled in wound care and medical documentation
• Strong communication and time management skills
