The Work

• Develops, plans and schedules cost estimates in support of proposals.

• Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements including components, parts, or entire complex instrument such as a complex electronic system, in the development of cost estimates in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.

• Works from preliminary or final drawings and from partial or complete engineering information.

• May estimate labor costs, type of tools required and cost of such tools.

• May recommend whether component parts would be manufactured or purchased.

• May coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, targeting and performance elements from functional departments.

• Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models/reports to support proposal efforts.

• Coordinates activities and participates in fact‑finding meetings with Government agencies such as DCAA & DCMA, as required.

• Participates in should‑cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.

• Participates in determining objectives of assignment.

• Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

• Demonstrates a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards relative to cost estimation.

• May exert influence on the overall objectives of the cost estimate.

Desired Skills

• Experience with LMP2P module

• Experience supporting USG proposals

• Knowledge of RMS estimating and pricing policies

• Knowledge of FAR requirements for material estimating

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

National Pay Statement

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $64,725 - $139,471. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
