This individual will own integration and test activities for critical subsystems on advanced autonomous platforms, working across increasingly mature environments from component bench tests through full vehicle ground test and into flight test support. This is a hands-on, build-and-run role suited to someone who wants to own a test campaign end to end: requirements, fixturing, execution, and reporting.What You'll DoOwn subsystem integration and test activities from component-level bench tests through full vehicle ground test, developing right-sized test plans and efficiently capturing and reporting learnings as inputs to designDefine fixturing, tooling, and test setup requirements, partnering with fabrication and ground support teams on buildup of test hardware and long-lead itemsDevelop and execute test programs that characterize subsystem performance across relevant operating conditions and vehicle configurationsCoordinate with systems engineering, structures, and other discipline teams to define test requirements, load cases, and vehicle configurations needed to support integration milestonesInstrument, collect, reduce, and report test data, feeding results into vehicle models and handing off clean datasets to support downstream analysis and flight readiness activitiesFocus on the safety of integration environments, ensuring that potential harm to team members is eliminated by design, with particular attention to hazardous materials handling and heavy-lift operationsImplement and maintain processes for configuration control of integration environments, test fixtures, and test articlesSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ground test, and flight test of prototype and production representative systemsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or related engineering discipline3+ years of experience in integration and test of aerospace, defense, or complex electromechanical systemsStrong test engineering foundation — DAQ setup and operation, sensor selection and installation (thermocouples, pressure transducers, strain gages, accelerometers), and fluency in common communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Serial)Experience defining fixturing and test setup requirements for bench-level and vehicle-level testingComfortable working hands-on in a lab, shop, or flight line environment alongside technicians and fabrication teamsExtremely organized and detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skillsA sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative cultureDefense industry background desirableEligible to obtain and maintain a security clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience with aircraft or vehicle-level integration and test, including ground test and flight test supportFamiliarity with mass properties measurement, vibration testing, or environmental qualification testingExperience with fluid, mechanical, electrical, or propulsion subsystem test programsBackground in configuration management and test article control in a developmental environmentHands-on fabrication or prototyping skills (wiring, plumbing, fixture design)US Salary Range$166,000—$220,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
