Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient handling, documentation, and management of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, technical proficiency with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction. Duties

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to customer specifications and shipping standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
• Utilize inventory management software, ERP systems, and warehouse management systems to track stock levels, update records, and manage order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange shipping logistics, schedule pickups, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to shipping & receiving activities using systems like AS400 or MRP software.
• Manage stock levels through inventory management practices including stocking, replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Assist in packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
• Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing storage areas for optimal space utilization.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations during warehouse operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipment inquiries promptly and professionally.

Skills

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems such as Oracle or MRP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and order fulfillment procedures.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers.
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to shipping weights or dimensions.
• Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and e-commerce shipping requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external vendors.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly desirable.
