Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Emergency Room Intake Technician

Night Shift (6:30pm - 7:00am, includes weekend and holiday rotation)

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Licensed as EMT or Paramedic in the State
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program
• BLS certification
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform various administrative functions, including reception and clerical work.
• Greet incoming patients and complete full patient reception and registration functions, including entering demographic and insurance information.
• Assist nursing staff in caring for patients presenting with life-threatening conditions within the scope of an ER Technician.
• Support nurses and physicians during patient care, including setup for sutures, assisting during suturing, wound cleaning and bandaging, splinting, and extricating patients from vehicles.
