JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatrics Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Enterprise, AL 36330 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Sep 4-8, 2026 Call Schedule: Weekends; 6a-6a Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:1 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Newborns Average Daily Volume: 0-5 patients/day Annual births: 700-800 Admissions: 5 Rounding: Assigned Patients Phone Consults: 2-5 Case Mix: Newborn care, Births, Pediatric stabilization FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Medhost PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Vent Management Intubation (ETT/NT) (Newborn, Pediatrics) Conscious & Deep sedation C‑Lines, A‑Lines, UVC, UAC Lumbar puncture Paracentesis, Thoracentesis Chest tube insertion Needle pneumothorax, Decompression X‑ray interpretation, EKG interpretation PA Catheter, Exchange transfusion Suturing minor lacerations Circumcision (type) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: AL or IMLC Certifications: BLs, ACLS, PALS, NRP DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide newborn care and attend deliveries at the Level I Nursery Stabilize infants requiring higher level of care until transfer to appropriate facility Manage pager call coverage during 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM weekend shifts Handle occasional admissions and phone consults Collaborate with local pediatric practice to ensure continuity of care #J-18808-Ljbffr
