The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple HVAC projects, ensuring installation from concept to completion. The PM provides full project oversight, direction, and required information to the Project Superintendent, Project Foreman, and field crew to complete installations per contract documents. Job Details Experience: Mid Level Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for project start‑ups, including detailed estimate review and facilitation of purchasing, procurement, subcontracts, submittals, and project schedules. Know all aspects of the project responsibilities; attend meetings prepared to represent the company with up‑to‑date, accurate information. Provide the Working Superintendent and field crews with all information and materials required to install and complete the project economically, completely, and per contract documents. Work with the Field Superintendent to maintain material flow and manpower, keeping the schedule on track and field conditions positive. Manage, coordinate, and control all construction field activities to finish projects within specifications, budget, and schedule; always act in the company’s best interests. Collaborate with trades, subcontractors, and outside service providers to prepare a field construction schedule that optimizes productivity and customer satisfaction. Monitor work progress and provide regular schedule updates to required parties. Anticipate and take action to prevent schedule delays and cost overruns. Work in concert with outside service providers to encourage peak performance. Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC and construction standards and regulatory requirements; enforce adherence in the field. Collaborate with subcontractors, customer reps, and the Engineer to resolve technical issues in the field. Be fully knowledgeable of contract scope and specifications and ensure all work meets those requirements. Coordinate inspections and closeout of project phases. Promptly submit required documentation to protect the company and the customer; provide timely, complete field information to the Engineer and customer representatives. Notify the Engineer when additional work outside contract scope appears; provide field support to compile change orders. REQUIREMENTS Minimum of five years direct project management experience in the HVAC commercial building construction industry. Experience with hospital projects; additional education, certifications, or licensing related to HVAC is a plus. Proficiency in computers, project management software, and related financial accounting. Knowledge of typical project management procedures, paperwork, and reporting. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Able to travel; travel will vary by project assignment.
