Facility: GSS NE Albion Location: Albion, NE Address: 1222 S 7th St, Albion, NE 68620, USA Shift: 12 Hours – Day Shifts Job Schedule: PRN Weekly Hours: Varies Salary Range: $24 – $36 Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting; demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age‑ and population‑specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per the care plan. Possesses the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed; recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively to assist in an emergent situation. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents; contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered; provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed; documents resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary; and maintains effective working relationships with residents, health care providers, and the public. Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information; counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocates, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician, on prevention and treatment plans and applies resident education principles to develop a self‑care program. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. If the position requires IV therapy/management skills, completion of a board‑approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or a North Dakota Board‑approved IV Therapy course is required. Attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan or have at least 400 hours of LPN experience at another facility. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board and/or possesses multi‑state licensure privileges. Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications; completes required annual CEU and competency training.
