Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager – Western Range Amentum is seeking a Logistics Manager to manage the Western Range (WR) Logistics Team, supporting Launch, Test, & Range Systems (LTRS) missions. Responsibilities Serve as the primary Logistics point of contact on the WR for internal and external customers. Oversee receipts, issue, transportation, warehousing, O&M, depot, engineering support, and base supply managed items. Manage daily logistics operations and monitor workflow to ensure timely delivery of products in accordance with requirements. Ensure work products meet quality standards and align with Amentum’s operating instructions, policies, procedures, and organizational responsibilities. Monitor performance of assigned areas for cost efficiency, employee and customer satisfaction, and competitive strategies. Identify and address issues, implement corrective actions, and recognize personnel through the Amentum Recognition Program. Oversee the creation, preparation, production, and distribution of periodic reports of staffing, workflow, metrics, contract deliverables, and other performance indicators. Analyze detailed performance metrics, collaborate with managers to formulate service improvement recommendations, and communicate findings to senior management. Ensure all personnel are trained and receive the guidance necessary to provide quality and timely service. Manage accounting charge structures per established policies and monitor and audit labor charge reports. Build and maintain a high‑performing team; adapt task lists and requirements while balancing contract demands. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum eight years of logistics experience, including at least six years in supervisory or management roles. Experience with business‑management industry practices, principles, methodologies, and tools. Knowledge of USAF Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) programs, including Forward Supply Points, AFEMS, and bench stocks. Familiarity with AFMAN 23‑122, AFI 23‑101, and DoD 4500.9‑R regulations. Experience with contractor‑Inventory Control Point operations for both wholesale and retail spares. Ability to develop processes in coordination with commercial logistics programs such as Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Project preferred. Knowledge of Maximo desired. Flexibility to work occasional non‑duty hours or weekends; periodic travel required. Must be U.S. citizen; required to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary: $115,000–$125,000, depending on experience, skills, local market, and other factors. Bonus or long‑term incentive compensation may be included.
