Entry Phlebotomist I

PhlebotomistPay Range: $12.75hr - $17.75hrRequirement/Must Have:High school diploma or equivalent.Phlebotomy experience, including internship or externship experience.Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., Retail, Home Health Aide).Keyboard and data entry experience.Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to cover breaks.Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.High level of customer service skills.Responsibilities:Greet patients upon arrival and address questions or concerns with care and compassion.Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.Assist with patient check-ins using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.Explain procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner to create an atmosphere of trust.Maintain required records and documentation.Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.Maintain a safe and professional environment.Provide coverage for phlebotomy breaks and staffing shortages as needed.Skills:Phlebotomy.Customer Service.Specimen Collection.Specimen Processing.Data Entry.Keyboarding.Qualification And Education:High school diploma or equivalent.
