Pathologist' Assistant

Pathologists' Assistant - Katy, TX Brown Pathology, a private medical practice based in the Houston area, is seeking a full-time Pathologists' Assistant to join our team at our Katy location. This is a daytime position, Monday through Friday. Qualifications Education: Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant training program Certification: ASCP certification required Experience: At least one year of experience with highly complex specimens preferred; recent graduates will be considered Experience with Dragon voice recognition software is a plus Responsibilities Perform gross descriptions and complete dissections of simple and complex surgical specimens Provide frozen section services Assist with specialized procedures and projects as designated by the pathologists Perform tissue procurement for special studies Assist with conference preparation as needed Coordinate gross room workflows and personnel to promote efficiency Position Details Full-time Monday-Friday Daytime schedule In-person position in Katy, Texas Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Paid time off Relocation assistance Education Master's degree required.
